2022
I did the United Half again in 2022! I definitely was not as fast three years ago (clocking in at 2:40:54), but it was still rewarding and challenging all the same.
2019
They say to under-promise and over-deliver. Well for this goal I over-delivered — by 10 miles to be exact. With a little encouragement from friends, I signed-up and ran the NYC Half Marathon in 2:26:38 (and that’s with stopping to pee). Running through Brooklyn and Manhattan with people cheering you on is an awesome experience. If you’ve ever been curious to try it, you should. With a bit of training and effort, anyone can run one. And this is coming from the person who’s annual tradition is to buy a bag of doughnuts and cheer on NY marathon runners from my stoop. Highly recommend going for it at least once. In fact, I already entered the lottery for the 2020 NYC Half because sometimes once isn’t enough.
