Peacock Microsites
A couple of sites for Peacock that I had a lot of fun helping to bring to life.
Role: Senior Art Director (Art Direction, Graphic Design, Photo Editing, Typography, UX/UI)
Team: Rachel Effendy (Global Head of Social), Jon Uleis (Lead Developer), Matt Comer (Lead Creative), Dan Salerno (Lead Producer), Jaclyn Kessel (Lead Art Director), Edzer Scott (Senior Art Director), David Giraldo (Junior Motion Designer), Becca Kent (Senior Digital Producer), Dillon Puswald (Photographer), Armani Parker (Production Intern)
Mrs. Davis
For the pre-launch of the new TV series Mrs. Davis, Peacock asked us to create a microsite (user: ralph | pass: jEqv8hIUqLZyAwMI6ke4) that would allow users to talk with the all-powerful AI that “wants to speak to you” as featured in their teaser.
The simple messaging system allows you to get a taste of Mrs. Davis’ optimistic demeanor, complete with emojis and sound effects for the extra cheeriness.
For this project, I helped with every part of the design– the look of the interface, the typography, sourcing the sound effects and images, and working closely with the developer to make sure that the site is effortlessly responsive.
Halloween Nightmare
In order create some hype about all the great horror movies available on Peacock, we created a point-and-click virtual escape room that puts horror fans to the test.
The game starts out as a typical movie night where you're about to watch a horror movie on peacock, but the mood quickly changes as the news interrupts your viewing experience to let you know that a serial killer has escaped. From there the lights go out, and you're kidnaped by the killer. They take you back to their home. The only way you can escape is to play their sick game and go room-to-room to solve the various puzzles. For fans who love a fright, they can toggle on horror mode, which makes puzzles harder and adds occasional jump scares.
To keep fans coming back to Peacock, we released a new batch of rooms every week in October. This project was a 2023 Webby nominee for Best User Interface and Best Use of Photography.
For this project, I helped plan and direct the photo shoot and help edit in the post-production process.
